Atlantic Presenters Cross-Border Exchange

June 4, 2010 | We have exciting news to share with you about our August block booking meeting, and a new initiative we have planned to expand our reach to presenting networks internationally - the Atlantic Presenters Cross-Border Exchange. Read on...

Each year in August we have travelled to a city or town in one the four Atlantic provinces to share information, pitch artists, and block book tours to bring great, Canadian talent to our region.

This year, we will take the August block booking meeting across the border to the Collins Center in Orono, Maine for the first Atlantic Presenters Cross-Border Exchange, a conference hosted by the APA and New England presenters networks, programmed for performing arts organizations from Atlantic Canada and New England to exchange ideas and expand our networks.

The purpose of this conference will be to improve cross border exchanges for the cultural and economic benefit of participating artists and arts organizations. During the conference, presenters will attend pitch sessions to promote block booking of Canadian performers, showcases to promote Atlantic Canadian and New England exchanges, and to promote cross-border bookings.

We will have representatives and members from the Atlantic Presenters Association, Arts Presenters of Northern New England, New England Presenters, New England Foundation for the Arts, and the Maine Arts Commission attending, and many more.

We invite you to join us for our first Atlantic Presenters Cross-Border Exchange. Here's how you can participate:

Email Sue Urquhart at sue@atlanticpresenters.ca and let us know if you are able to attend, not able to attend, or if you need more time to determine if you can attend.

We will send weekly updates about the conference with information about travel and accommodations, rates, speakers, schedules and more. The first step is to know - who's with us? Email Sue today and we'll get the ball rolling!
